*The Journey of an Open Art Call

This artists call, is as any other call – it is a call to artists, for collaboration, contribution,
interpretation and distribution. Appologies for cross-posting.

A chain of decisions, choices and selections makes up the process through which all artworks
are formed. a process which is (almost) always entirely unknown from the out-set.
Embarking on a painting, or an exploration of a new place, we begin informed by what we
perceive at the starting point of our journey, to at some time, repeatedly, stop and take in
the new location.

This work, or what could perhaps better be labeled as platform, seeks to open up this process
through the exploration of artist's cyber-communications networks and to furthermore continue
efforts in establishing both a physical shape for the network and more coherent notions of it's
nature. The action referred to by this call will map out a cyber-geographic journey of an open
art call.

We ask that you forward the call in three seperate diretions within your communications
network and that you CC your mail to paracarto [at] cultura3.net so that we are able to track
the journey properly and consequently and make an accurate depiction of the arts
announcement networks.

The information gathered through the call will be used toward further research in the
establishment of a more coherent and unified cyber communications network for the arts,
interactive cartographs and closed source industrial directorys.

NB: communications content will not be published online, but will be made available
providing consent is given, through a suppertive document.
